Saint Guérin, patron of the herds, gave his name to the valley and to the dam built between 1957 and 1961. It contributes to filling Roselend by means of a connecting pipe between the reservoirs which function like communicating vessels.

Its water surface is 50 ha and its depth of 70m for a capacity of 13 million m3. Its thin vaulted structure is 250m long. Each year it receives the equivalent of twice its storage capacity.

Please note that swimming and any independent water activity on Lake Saint-Guérin, other than that offered by Mountain Sup for rental, are strictly prohibited.

Tips and Suggestions
The pedestrian route, accessible to all (people with accompanied reduced mobility) runs along the lake, on the right bank to a Himalayan footbridge 83m in span, and more than 20m high, allowing you to cross the Poncellamont Gorge.
