As you walk along the imposing Saint-Guérin lake, think about the 13 million m3 of water retained by this 250 m long dam. It’s still impressive! This hike is not allowed for dogs.
You then cross the mountain pastures where you will undoubtedly come across a few cows. Besides, did you know that Saint Guérin is the protector of herds?
You will have to ford the stream several times... without getting your feet wet! Arriving at the Col de la Louze, at the foot of the Grand Mont, enjoy the superb view of the Beaufortain peaks.
Then you will begin the descent towards the small mountain lakes which unfold in a chain along the path, called Lac de la Tempête.
Is it because they are the remains of an ancient flood which filled the valley with water?
