First climb on the road and track facing North-East, from where you will admire the Arêches valley and the pretty hamlet of Boudin. Just before the Cuvy plateau, you will go back down on a very pleasant path despite small hairpins and roots. You will cross pretty mountain pastures from where the view is splendid, especially under the Roche Parstire up to the Col du Pré. The last descent is in the Bersend forest up to above the Praz with a return on the road to Arêches.

Tips and Suggestions
It is possible not to go down through the Bersend forest but simply take the Col du Pré road.

Topo / step by step
Departure: Place de l'Eglise d'Arêches 1/ Head towards the Saint Guérin road then the Envers road. (tarmac road to the entrance of the forest) 2/ Drive through the forest for 4 km of track before reaching the start of the Bonnets Rouges chairlift. 3/ On the left and after the start of the Bonnets Rouges TS, the descent towards Ami sur sentier begins to join the Saint Guérin road. 4/ Go down the St Guérin road for 1.3 km and take the Colombières track on the right. 5/ Follow this track for 2 km 6/ A new marker indicates a track on the right that goes up to Ravines Rouges (1756m). 7/ Take the track on the right that leads to Col du Pré. 8/ Cross the Col du Pré road in front of Chez Marie Rose to go up the forest track to the sign indicating "la forêt du Bersend" 9/ From there, the route is the same as the "unofficial" 4km enduro to Arêches.
