Small, easy initiation loop which takes a road with little or no traffic except for a 1 km portion around Manant. You will pass very close to the Leisure Center, where you can take a pleasant break by the pond.

This route takes you to a cool spot and a well-equipped leisure area for a multi-activity break. The return will be via the hamlet of La Pierre with a lovely view of the plain topped with forests and mountains. It will make you want to discover the other marked routes of Arêches-Beaufort, higher up!

Topo / step by step
Departure: Place Frison-Roche 1/ Take the Route de la Côte (slight descent of 46m of altitude difference to the pond) towards Marcôt, this is closed to traffic during the summer. 2/ At the Etang de Marcôt, take the small bridge on the right and follow the road which joins the D925. 3/ Be careful with children, this section of road joins the Manant crossroads (Albertville -Beaufort-Les Saisies) very busy in July and August. 4/ Take the Route des Saisies for 500m to take the Chemin des Pierrarains on the right, through the hamlet of La Pierre which overlooks the Plaine for a short distance.
