Roselend Dam: group visits.

The Roselend Dam is the largest of the four dams in the Beaufortain region. Its construction began in 1955, and it is one of the large Alpine dams built after the war by Électricité de France (EDF) as part of the reconstruction effort. Measuring 800 meters long and 150 meters high, it can hold up to 185 million cubic meters of water and, along with the Gittaz and St. Guérin dams, supplies the La Bâthie power station, the most powerful hydroelectric plant in France at the time. It is also a magnificent site surrounded by alpine pastures and high peaks. The construction of the Roselend Dam is a story of both engineering and human endeavor.
If conditions permit, a visit to the Marie-Madeleine chapel, rebuilt by the construction workers.
