The route starts on an alpine track up to an EDF water intake at 1999m. From there, we climb gradually in the pastures on a well-marked path indicating the Col du Grand Fond and we discover a splendid high mountain landscape.
This very easy hike takes you to a heavenly place, a glacial-type valley, a very alpine relief that contrasts with the well-known pastoral side of Beaufortain. For the more courageous, this walk leads to the Col du Grand Fond from where you can see the famous Pierra Menta, the lake and the Presset refuge.
