The area around Arêches-Beaufort is full of hiking trails of all lengths and difficulties. Local loops like "La boucle des Envers" in Arêches or "Les Curtillets" in Beaufort offer great, easy, and accessible options starting from the villages for short walks of just a few hours.
Thanks to the chairlifts , you can easily gain altitude effortlessly and access breathtaking panoramas while maintaining a very modest elevation gain for your hikes. The "Lac Tournant" (Turning Lake) at the base of the Grand Mont chairlift is a must-see in the area. At Planay, "Lac Brassa" offers a magnificent view of the Mont Blanc massif and the Pierra Menta.
As an alternative to chairlifts, the nature shuttles , free all summer, allow you to connect hiking starting points to Lake Saint-Guérin, Arêches and Beaufort without having to worry about finding your vehicle or parking it.
