Personalized fishing sites natural and preserved

The 10 lakes which surround Arêches-Beaufort are ideal places for hiking and above all panoramic sites not to be missed under any circumstances: the 3 large lakes of the Roselend, Saint-Guérin and Gittaz dams or even the lakes of the Fairies, Tournant and the Mirantin with its adorable little chalet ... easily accessible by hike for the whole family from the youngest to the oldest.

Lake Roselend and its turquoise waters

The Roselend dam, located at an altitude of 1 meters for example, is known to be the most aesthetic of the Savoy dams. Its turquoise blue lake evokes the waters of the Pacific, herds of impassive tarines graze around and many peaks can be seen there: Roc du Vent, Aiguille du Grand Fond, La Pierra Menta ...

The shores of the lake offer very good departures for hiking or cycling. The "Tour de Roselend" for example allows you to discover the local flora and fauna for a walk of about 4 hours and 900 m of vertical drop.

Lake Saint-Guérin and its Himalayan footbridge

The Saint-Guérin dam, located at an altitude of 1 meters, is very popular with walkers for its spectacular side. The lake is equipped with a pedestrian route and an 83-meter-long Himalayan footbridge, which connects the two banks. It overlooks the lake at more than 20 meters high! The walk is family-friendly and relaxing. The installation, built in 2011, is accessible to all (families with young children or strollers and accompanied people with reduced mobility).

It is also possible to practice many water activities: canoes, kayaks and stand up paddles. Please note that the only practice authorized is that offered by the canoe and paddle rental service provider present on site. Any completely independent activity is prohibited on the lake.

Two fun courses were also inaugurated in 2015 around the Saint-Guérin dam. Those Discovery walks in Savoy (Savoie label) allow children aged 6/8 to explore the water cycle (game kit available at the Tourist Office), and those over 12 are immersed in 1957 during the construction of the dam to help the EDF engineer in charge of the project, thanks to the application Footprint of the Grandes Alpes.

The Nature shuttles allow free access to Saint-Guérin without taking your car. 3 round trips per day allow you to reach the lake from Beaufort. Find the timetables here.

The Marcôt lake and its leisure center

In addition to being a pleasant fishing spot, the Marcôt lake gave birth to a leisure center with multiple relaxation activities. You can picnic there on the edge of its magnificent mountain lake, sunbathe on its grass-lined beach, take a nap in the shade of the trees, or embark on its orientation course for a 1 hour walk around of the water in search of 30 beacons to be found using a specific map.

JAG Aqua Park, an inflatable aquatic playground is open to everyone from 6 years old. It is made up of around forty modules with obstacle courses, slide, climbing wall on the water, catapult and much more. On the menu of this real giant playground on the water: 1 sport loop, 1 fun loop, family platform, Ice Tower… Balance, fun, sport and good fun will be waiting for the whole family!
