Want to get some fresh air? This hike to the Roc du Vent, passing through Bel-air, is ideal for enjoying the pure mountain air! With the added bonus of the possibility of a via ferrata, for those who like to evolve in the air...

From the Plan de la Lai, the space is open, the gaze carries far and the lungs are filled with pure air with each inspiration.

All this makes you want to go up and see beyond the mountains, towards this immense sky swept by the winds.

On the way, smells come to tickle your nostrils. It is first of all the sweet scent of alpine flowers that spread their scent of honey.

Then a more musky scent permeates the atmosphere: the cows are not far away!

Climbing higher, a damp and mineral smell of wet rock is felt, especially when approaching a surviving snowfield.

If a wild aroma suddenly invades you, check that an ibex is not perched on a rock above...

Then you arrive at the rock of the wind, whose particular shape seems to have been sculpted by the gusts of winter storms. From there, gaze down at Lake Gittaz, which hides in the shelter at the bottom of the valley.

It is thus regenerated that you will return home.

Topo / step by step
Departure: Plan de la Lai car park 1/ Take the alpine track next to the car park towards the Chalets du Plan de la Lai 2/ After the second bridge, turn left towards La Lauze and pass behind the chalet de la Plate 3/ A little further, do not take the path on the left leading to the via ferrata. 4/ Continue to the chalet de la Lauze, go around it on the left. 5/ Continue along the path that climbs to the right towards the Col de La Lauze. 6/ Entrance to the canyon: return by the same route to the chalet de la Lauze and continue along the alpine track 7/ At the Chalet Bel Air go down to the Plan de la Lai.
