The adventure begins with a little trip in the air...
We all sit together on the chairlift, we lower the safety bar, and off we go! The feet swing in the void and we are just at the right height to say hello to the birds and squirrels in the spruces.
But here we are already at the finish and you still have to walk a bit to reach the orientation table at the Tête de Cuvy. All round, it indicates the names of summits that you can see at 360°. Mont-Blanc, Pierra Menta,… what a panorama!
But the snack time which is approaching makes you take the road again in the middle of the rhododendrons. And here is the refuge of the mountain pasture! Ideally located to enjoy the view while tasting a delicious blueberry pie.
Here you are perked up to begin the descent. Enough energy to walk down to the bottom? If you feel tired, you can also take the chairlift again. The descent is even more impressive than the ascent!
Topo / step by step
Departure: arrived at Cuvy, 1/ take the direction of Sous la Tête de Cuvy. 2/ Arrived at this crossroads, turn right in the direction of 3/ Orientation table then 4/ Tête de Cuvy. From the Tête de Cuvy sign, go up to 5/ l'Entre Deux Têtes then 6/ l'Alpage (refuge - restaurant). 7/ Take the direction of the Covetan. 8/ from the Covetan sign, take the track that joins the Grangettes ski lift from there, join 9/ the Bonnets Rouges track then the Plateau du Cuvy. Return by chairlift or by the path that leads to Arêches via Le Platon and La Chavonne (add 1h30 of walking for the descent).
