The Fair of Saint Ours, which dates back to the Middle Ages, is above all a great popular event. A thousand exhibitors from the Aosta Valley come to present their crafts. All the traditional activities are represented: sculpture and decoration on wood, transformation of soapstone, wrought iron and leather, weaving of sheets, woolen fabric worked on old wooden looms, then laces, objects in ” wicker ”, household items, wooden stairs, barrels…
The fair takes place in the historic center and borders, in places, the walls of the ancient Roman city.
The Fair is also a good opportunity to listen to traditional music, folklore and opportunities to taste wines and typical regional products.
