The Tour of Beaufortain
Six-day loop hike to discover the wonders of the Beaufortain massif. An ideal and accessible circuit to discover roaming hiking with Matthieu Denèle.
Between the summer effervescence of the Beaufort mountain pastures and the wild Alpine peaks, you will discover an authentic massif and an unlimited playground with incomparable panoramas of Mont Blanc.
Level of difficulty: Medium. 4 to 6 hours of trail riding per day. From 700 to 1000 meters of elevation per day for a maximum of 15 km. The difficulty of the itinerary lies in the accumulation of 6 days of effort and the progression on mountain trails.

Program

This program can be modified at any time by the supervising professional depending on climatic conditions, the physical and technical abilities of the participants and the availability of accommodation. Ultimately, he remains the sole judge of the program.

Step 1: The ridges of Mont des Acrays

Meet early in the morning in Beaufort with your guide for a presentation
of the stay and a bag check. Visit to the typical village, shuttle transfer and departure
Saint Guérin sector for the Econdu refuge via the ridges of Mont des Acrays.

Step 2: La Pierra Menta

After an early departure from Econdu we will make a short stop at the Plan Pichu farm where
Beaufort is still made in the traditional way. We will then leave for a stage
splendid in a wild and mineral atmosphere at the foot of the famous Pierra Menta. Overnight stay
mountain at the Presset refuge.

Step 3: The Combe de la Neuva

A day with little difference in altitude which will give us the leisure to stroll in search of the inhabitants
places, ibexes, chamois, marmots and other large birds of prey. We will also enjoy
to observe a rich and diverse alpine flora. Arrival during the day at the Plan Mya refuge. Collection of our lighter bags.

Step 4: The Gittes crest and the Chemin du Curé

A beautiful stage full of curiosities including the passage of the Roc du vent tunnel,
crossing the astonishing Gittes crest and descending via the priest's path. We'll do
stop at the charming little refuge of the Plan de la Gittaz.

Step 5: The Head of the Cicle

Discovery of a wild sector and passage through the summit of the Tête de la Cicle in a
beautiful alpine atmosphere with Mont Blanc in the background. Night at the Roselette refuge with bed
of grandiose sunshine on the master of the place.

Step 6: The ridge route

A splendid panorama at sunrise from this last stage. After breakfast at altitude, we will reach the ridge road sector of the Saisies station before tackling a big descent towards Hauteluce and its famous 16th century baroque church. After visiting the village and the bell tower we will end our journey with a descent to Beaufort - or shuttle transfer depending on the participants' state of freshness. Separation at the end of the day.
