With the Col du Pré , an hors catégorie climb and the Cormet de Roselend , category 2, Arêches-Beaufort has become a regular passage point for major cyclosportive competitions such as the Tour de France or the Critérium du Dauphiné.
In the wake of these major competitions, the Arêches-Beaufort Multisport Club offers cycling climbs every summer starting from Arêches and Beaufort.
But if the roads are used to the pedal strokes of the greatest cyclists, they are nonetheless accessible to all and several routes allow you to discover the sumptuous landscapes of Beaufortain like the lakes of Roselend and Saint-Guérin without great difficulty.
Thanks to electrically assisted bicycles (VAE), available for hire in village shops, these passes and summits become even more accessible and will guarantee the success of your family cycling day.

Located on the iconic Route des Grandes Alpes , Arêches-Beaufort is becoming an essential stop for cycle tourists from all backgrounds and offers a breathtaking turning point between Beaufortain and the Tarentaise valley.
Cyclo on path: the Gravel
The numerous trails leading to mountain pastures (more than 70 km) offer an ideal playground for gravel enthusiasts. Departing from the villages, passing through the Cormet d'Arêches, a magnificent route allows you to
switch to the Tarentaise. On the Planay side, the Plan Villard track allows a beautiful loop between mountain pastures and forest with a part on path and a part on tarmac to reach Beaufort.
