0/ Treicol car park 1/ Continue on the alpine track to join the GR5 (red and white markings). Orange sign: Presset le Bas, then Presset to Col du Bresson. 2/ From the Col du Bresson, take the path on the left towards the Presset refuge. 3/ The return is by the same route.
History, culture and heritage
Before arriving at the Col de Bresson, you will see the herds of cows and the alpine chalets, in particular that of Conchette where Beaufort is made on site. From the Presset refuge, a splendid view of the Pierra Menta (the middle stone), a majestic monolith recognizable from afar, which gave its name to the mythical ski mountaineering race. The Presset sector is ideal for observing the many ibexes and for picnicking by the lake.
