The route starts to the right of Les Arolles. Higher up, you will walk among the rhododendrons, on a ridge, and see the Col de la Bâthie on your right. Go up towards the Col de la Grande Combe and follow the track which leads to the arrival of the Combettes chairlift. You may be lucky enough to see marmots in this area. Then go down to Lac Brassa, an ideal setting for a picnic and photos with a view of Mont-Blanc. The return is in the direction of the Combettes alpine pasture where you will see Alpine goats and where Persillé des Combettes is made. Then go back towards Les Arolles and take the chairlift back to Planay.

0/ Arrival of the Piapolay chairlift 1/ Follow the track which goes up to the right of the chairlift arrival until the yellow multi-directional sign. 2/ Head towards Col de la Grande Combe / Lac Brassa 3/ the ridge path runs along the Grande-Combe piste then crosses it higher up to reach the arrival of the Combettes chairlift. 4/ At the arrival of the TS des Combettes, go back down towards Lac Brassa 5/ At Lac Brassa, follow the path which joins the Arolles refuge and the arrival of the Piapolay chairlift which you will take again to reach Planay.

If you don't want to take care of a picnic, return to the Arolles restaurant in 1 hour.
