It grew quietly in the forest between Beaufort and Méraillet. The age of this tree exceeds 400 years, which makes it one of the oldest in France. It is about 45 m high and its volume reaches 30 m3.

He was born shortly after the death of Henri IV and has known 7 kings, 2 emperors and 5 republics!
