Le Cormet de Roselend is a col located at an altitude of 1968 m, the starting point for magnificent hikes and providing access by road to the Chapieux and Tarentaise valleys. Cormet comes from the word Culmen in Latin which means summit.

Le Cormet de Roselend is open from the end of May to mid October. From there start beautiful hikes of all levels, nearby is the Chalet du Cormet to discover the life of the mountain pastures and pastoralism. A large herd of tarine cows also occupies this space during the summer. The Cormet de Roselend is also known to have been crossed very often by the Tour de France cyclist.
